Loving our neighborS

Our goal is to provide opportunities for the people of LifeSource  to tangibly extend the love of Christ to members of our community. Christ has challenged us to love our neighbor as ourselves. We believe that fulfilling this commandment is crucial to the believer’s walk with the Lord and brings encouragement and hope to the people we serve.

Urban peak

Founded in 1988, Urban Peak is the only non-profit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services for youth ages 15 through 24 experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Urban Peak's goal is to help these youth overcome real life challenges and become self-sufficient adults.

They do this by providing five essential services at little or no cost to the youth:

  • an overnight shelter
  • a daytime Drop-In Center
  • Street Outreach
  • Education & Employment programming
  • Supportive housing

Here, at LifeSource, we support Urban Peak's endeavors. Once a month, our church gathers a group of members and provide meals and fellowship to the Urban Peak youth.

Kuda Vana

Kuda Vana, which means "Loving Children" in Shona, is committed to improving the situation of children without adequate family care. AIDS and other diseases, economic hardship and extreme poverty have left millions of children in Zimbabwe orphaned, separated or on the brink of family breakdown. Kuda Vana partners with Social Services to provide a safe and loving environment for orphaned or abandoned children who are in need of temporary or permanent care. It is our priority to reunite children with their families, or to facilitate fostering and adoption when we can. Unfortunately, because this is not always possible Kuda Vana aims to provide children with more than just physical care. Children need love, attention and healthy adult attachments, which is why each child in our care grows up in a loving family unit, or Group Home. For more information on Kuda Vana, click here.

Kuda Vana exists today in large part because of the generosity and dedication of members of LifeSource Adventist Fellowship. LifeSource has a mission of sharing Jesus through a community of grace and acceptance. Our members have extended their hands and hearts across continents to help vulnerable children ultimately believe, become, belong and bless.
